We are pleased to announce the return of our Medical Robotics for Contagious Diseases Challenge. The challenge proved to be hugely popular when we established it last year and demand for a second call has been overwhelming.

The outbreak of novel coronavirus has fundamentally altered our societies on a global scale. This global health crisis has led to unprecedented levels of innovation among the robotics community with robots offering opportunities to provide support to humans in different domains and outline the areas of intervention in the field of healthcare.

The Hamlyn Centre at Imperial College London, in collaboration with the UK-RAS Network, is seeking innovative solutions that could form part of a multi-faceted response to this and future global pandemics. This challenge involves creating a 2-minute video of your robotic or AI technology that could be used to tackle contagious diseases.

Given the ongoing pandemic crisis we are running this challenge online.
