Previously, Alex led the innovation lab at Asensus Surgical in developing early-stage advanced technologies for robotic laparoscopic surgery. His experience ranges from computer vision algorithms to a wide range of fully custom high degree of freedom robotic manipulators. Alex is a strategic leader of technical teams with a passion for business strategy, technology management, and disruptive innovation. Alex graduated summa cum laude with a BS in Aeronautical and Mechanical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. He also holds an MBA from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a focus in strategy and technology management.
