Andrea d’Avella is Professor of Physiology at University of Messina and Team Leader at Fondazione Santa Lucia, Roma, Italy.

He is a neuroscientist whose research is focused on human sensorimotor control and learning. Andrea’s current research interests include the role of muscle synergies in motor skill learning, inter-individual differences in real-life motor skills, applications of myoelectric control and virtual reality to neurorehabilitation and supernumerary robotic limb control.
