Christos Bergeles (Member, IEEE) received the M.Sc. degree in electrical and computer engineering from the National Technical University of Athens, Athens, Greece, in 2006, and the Ph.D. degree in mechanical engineering from ETH Zurich, Zurich, Switzerland, in 2011. He was a Postdoctoral Research Fellow with Harvard Medical School (Boston Children’s Hospital), Boston, MA, USA, and Imperial College London, London, U.K. He is currently an Associate Professor (Reader) with King’s College London, London, U.K., where he directs the Robotics and Vision in Medicine Lab. Dr Bergeles has been awarded an ERC Starting Grant and holds i4i NIHR funding for the development of instrumentation that delivers stem cells to diseased retinal layers. He is an Associate Editor for IEEE Transactions on Robotics and for IEEE International Conference on Robotics and Automation.
