Dr. Diego Dall’Alba received his PhD in Computer Science at the University of Verona (Verona, Italy) in 2014. Since 2008 he has been a member of the Altair Robotics Labs (Verona, Italy). He was involved in 4 European projects related to medical robotics: AccuRobAs, Safros, ISUR and MURAB. In 2012 he was a visiting researcher at the University of British Columbia (Vancouver, Canada). He is currently an Assistant Professor (tenure track) at the Department of Computer Science (University of Verona, Verona, Italy), working in the European projects ARS and ATLAS. His main research interests are in the field of robotic and computer assisted surgical systems (focusing on multimodal data processing), bio-mechanical simulation and application of artificial intelligence in bio-medical applications.
