James H. Chandler received the M.Eng. degree in mechanical engineering and the Ph.D. degree in surgical technologies from the University of Leeds, Leeds, U.K., in 2011 and 2016, respectively. He is currently a Research Fellow with the Institute of Robotics, Autonomous Systems and Sensing, School of Electronic and Electrical Engineering, University of Leeds, working on low cost endoscopic technology for gastric cancer screening. His research interests include soft robotic systems for surgery, tissue mechanics, and sensing technology for identifying tissue disease.
