Mattia Pinardi received the MSc. degree in Neuroscience at the Alma Mater Studiorum, Università di Bologna, Italy, in 2016.

He obtained a PhD. in Biomedical Sciences and Bioethics from Università Campus Bio-Medico di Roma, Italy, in 2021, where he investigated the modulation of artificial limb ownership through Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation. He is now a Post-Doc fellow at the Laboratory of Neurophysiology and Neuroengineering of the Human-Technology Interaction (NeXT Lab), at Bio-Medico. His research interests lie in the study of human augmentation, and more specifically in the role of sensory feedback within the sensorimotor loop and the way it shapes body representation.
