Dr Sharib Ali is a senior postdoctoral researcher at the University of Oxford, UK working on computational endoscopy.

Prior to Oxford, he worked as a post-doctoral researcher at the DKFZ, Heidelberg for developing physics-based deformable image registration for structural connectivity understanding of human brain.

He did his PhD in bi-modal bladder image mosaicking for extended field of view at the university of Lorraine, and a master’s degree in computer vision (by research) from the University of Dijon, France. He has worked extensively in developing computer vision methods for medical imaging, in particular endoscopy. He has published his works in top ranked computational and clinical journals. His focus lies in object detection, semantic segmentation, image registration, depth estimation, optical flow, and 3D reconstruction.
