Carsten Mehring is Professor of Neurobiology and Neurotechnology working at the Bernstein Center of the University of Freiburg, Germany.

Carsten’s main research interests are on the Computational Neuroscience of learning, motor control and decision making, and the application of that knowledge as well onto the development of neurotechnology and brain-machine interfaces. On the topic of augmentation, Carsten is coordinator of the European Project NIMA which looks to develop non-invasive interfaces for movement augmentation.
