Professor Sebastien Ourselin is Head of the School of Biomedical Engineering & Imaging Sciences at King’s.

This unique position allows over 550 staff and graduate students access to the state of the art clinical and research facilities in imaging and surgery at the hospital, including PET-MRI, gamma-ray and SPECT imaging, to deliver scientifically informed solutions to healthcare problems.

The interdisciplinary nature of the School combined with the extensive links to external partners and industry ensures the rapid translation of research innovations to the clinic to tackle some of the most important healthcare challenges of worldwide significance.
