Shuhei Miyashita is a Lecturer in Robotics at the Department of Automatic Control and Systems Engineering at the University of Sheffield.
He studied as a PhD student at the Artificial Intelligence Lab at the University of Zurich and received the PhD degree in 2011.
Prior to this position, he was a Postdoctoral Research Associate at Carnegie Mellon University, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and a Lecturer at the University of York.
His expertise is in self-assembly and self-reconfigurable systems, micro-robotics and their medical applications, and embodied intelligence.
